>>1483748>I think half of my problem is just feeling crippingly terrified about any progression past where I amI was lucky as my manager is ex-army and he just threw me into the deep end where ever he could as he knew I was capable but had self-doubt about everything I did, also have the Impostor syndrome, like yourself. I do a lot of TVP's for non-sentinal staff, you wouldn't believe the number of people sending applications through with depression and anti-depression medication.
I talk to a lot of Project Managers from Principle Contractors as part of my job like Atkins Global, Arup, Mott McDonald, WSP etc... and you wouldn't believe how incompetent some of these people are, if you've got self-doubt that's a good thing mate because you'll stay grounded overthinking your job and won't get carried away with your own confidence and propose stupid shit if that makes any sense.
Anyway good luck in your future, you're going to be put on the spot at times, just roll with it, you'll surprise yourself more often than not and you'll have a funny story to tell your co-workers when you failed that time.
Image is of St. Erth Signal box down in Cornwall, blocked the section so I could get some photos of the track and access point to plan Drilling works for SI/GI on the Cornwall Re-Signalling project; throughout the MLN and branch routes. Me and a pal walked from Penzance to Exeter photographing the route.
