canadanon, Been awhile since I posted here.
Finally passed my CPL written with a 75%, don’t know how. Took 4 months studying 7 days a week 5-8 hours (retard). Bought the culhane study guide as an anon suggested here and pounded it out, was brutal but got through it. Also the Nizus study online guide which I would highly recommend.
Prepping for the ride now. Instructor says I’m mostly ready to go, just polishing the exercises. Doing the ride in my C180 which adds a level of ‘complexity’ to everything but it’ll be ok.
Any suggestions anons? My instructor says to keep the navigation section traditional with paper everything and E6B, even though foreflight is allowed. I think I’m still going to use both. It’s the only section I’m really worried about. That and missing procedural steps in the exercises. I tend to just do everything at once during stall recoveries etc rather than step by step actions as set forth in the flight test guide. Been trying to break that habit but it’s tough, not sure how stop other than just doing the exercises until I’m blue in the face.
Have been using my instructors Fs2020 rig for some practice of the nav and a few other things but holy fuck that program is dogshit. Do you guys think it has any utility for training?
Also, gas prices got me down. Now surely to increase beyond the $9/gallon I’m currently feeding the bitch.
Thanks Israel.
