another simple point: "trump's wall" has not been built yet so whatever the cost would be is at this point still totally unclear. i'm not sure what numbers you have in your head but they are probably based of off past fencing that has been constructed or small portions of the wall that have been repaired/replaced during the trump administration. obviously that is quite different from the cost of an entire wall which is what was promised during the campaign
