>>1697060some people have very strange ideas about bike fit and they don't give their body any chance to adapt, if they feel just the tiniest bit of discomfort they switch to a shorter/higher stem/handlebar position, some people even mess with their gear ratios because they struggle to accelerate and get up hills when they're out of shape and just starting out. if your bike is vaguely the right size for you then you should just suck it up if you feel a bit stretched out or whatever until you gain more experience, it's not very meaningful to make tiny adjustments until you've gained more experience to try to optimize your performance and comfort over longer distances.
