Return of trolleybuses to Prague.
Prague has had a classical trolleybus system running from 1936 to 1972.
Nowadays they are reintroducing the trolleybus however the lines are designed to be serviced only by battery trolleybuses. The wires cover only certain parts of the lines (where building them was administratively easy) and usually are dead ended. Still, a very good step which seemed just as a fantasy of few nerds 10 years ago. Photo is an older car which is used for trial runs. New vehicles are about to be delivered now.
First line is under construction from metro station Palmovka to suburbs of Letňany and Čakovice.
Second line should serve the airport with double-articulated vehicles.
Parallel to that Prague is also introducing some e-bus lines with overhead charging. However the difference is, these buses can charge only when they don't run.
