Profit. America has a decent rail system, the highlight being around the Northeast, the rest being diesel powered, loco-hauled passenger stock on routes owned by freight companies
While the UK and Europe's are generally faster, newer, have the same standards nationwide and have priority over freight.
Oh, and I'm gonna keep posting British stock and there's nothing you can do to stop me :)
