The side streets are getting progressively icier. Its still a kind of lumpy ice which my fat studs can grab onto, but a few more days and it could smooth out enough to significantly reduce grip. The lumpy ice is actually pretty fun to ride, though I take it easy in the turns.
The rail line I frequently ride is melting down in one spot exposing the ties, so that section is getting bumpy. Most bodies of water are unsafe now due to storm drain discharge from road melt and a few major watermain breaks.
