I'd like to paint the belt a bit, the topside/ maybe the side half circles of it. Gates carbon drive, so looks to be polyurethane. Anyone done that before? Just worried about reducing strength if some sort of chemical penetrates it or by sanding the surface to make paint stick, and how well is it going to stick with the constant bending action? I see some motorcycle guys paint their belts which seem to be similar with one shot pinstripe paint
