More than a month ago I took my bike that I have since I was a teen (many years ago) to a shop to get it up and running again.
I just called the guy and he told me that after putting the frame to soak on a chemical bath to remove previous paint and rust he found out that the rust was too deep, there are scars and holes and the paintjob didn't turn out well. He thinks we should order a new frame of the same model, a replica, to replace the old frame.
He wants me to go down there and see it for myself so I can decide for a new frame or no.
I don't have anybody to resort to for help, only you, anons. If you can, pease help me with some questions I have, if not just call me a faggot
1. Is this guy just trying to get more shekkels out of me?
2. Is there a chance for said holes on the frame to compromise the structural integrity?
3. Are there ways to "fill in" the holes?
