Bikes have 500 different standards for individual parts and they change all the time so its not always easy. Actually, the modern bikes (2008+) are fairly similar. finding pieces from before that is going to have you combing ebay for weeks
But in the sense of quality bike you can rely on, any major brand entry level aluminum bike.
We need to know what type of riding youll do (just commuting? as a fitness workout? etc) and how hilly your area is.
