>>1464781For me, I grew up in a small town where the one rail line that passed through was a branch line that lost passenger service in the 1930s and lost freight service about 50 years later. As a result, seeing trains IRL requires at least a 15 minute drive to the nearest city that still has service. Seeing vids others have posted sorta scratches that itch for traveling via train, but last summer, I got to visit a friend in New Jersey (am Masshole), and took trains down and back. Was fun, but now I'm craving a transcontinental trip from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or LA back to Boston via Chicago or New Orleans
