How did "Executive" class become the standard class for long-distance bus in Indonesia?

I know lots of you anons never even set foot in Indonesia, yet lets discuss this. Most of Indonesia are not rich, yet so-called Executive class are the standard for long distance bus here. They normally have 2-2 configuration seat with around 26-34 seats that are comfy + legrests, you get snacks, free meal, and other amenities. You probably think that Indonesia, being a lower-middle income country, is dominated by economy-class buses, yet those are basically extinct now, only existing on shorter routes. What causes this? Discuss.
