>>1423258The D stock were fantastic trains in District Line service, and were pulled from tube service prematurely, less than a decade after a total rebuild, with literal decades worth of life left in them simply because TFL wanted to consolidate the surface lines around the new S stock.
I'm happy to see them living on as DMU conversions, and I'm hoping that they're reliable enough that more of the private operators decide to replace their Pacers with them.
