That's my bike, and I took that pic on my longest ride ever.
Three and a half days in the Appalachians (Virginia and West Virginia), 250 miles, and I slept in a hammock 3 nights.
The third day was really nasty hot, and I was wiped from the first two full days.
The ride would have been 270 miles, but I bonked out just after sundown in the town of Shenandoah. I had to work the next day, so adding a night wasn't an option.
I wound up paying a gas station manager $50 for a lift back to my car.
The OP pic was taken at the bottom of Rough Run road, after a great descent on gravel with several stream crossings.
The first two were so shallow I just rode right through them, but the last one was so deep I had to cross on foot and lift the bike up to keep the panniers dry.
