>>999028well I look for a new one
my wallet looks for an used one
my economy looks for "shut up you can't afford to spend any money on stuff like that"
I ofcourse would like to get a new bike and all but they are too expensive for me to buy this year. I'll have the money in 1.5 year to really invest on a bike what even serious bikers would call proper.
Right now I am trying to get as much as information about the bikes and trying to understand the scene. I do a lot of mtb on my Nishiki Kodiak 2014, which is good and all but it is leaving me a bit cold since I don't dare go down most places I would like to due the short front suspension, no rear suspension and the fact that the fork is standing so straight in vertical way that it is really easy to get knocked over the handlebar if there are bumps in the way down.
I have made my peace with the fact that enduro bike is what I need but somehow I just really grave for downhill bike.
The bike I would buy right now, would be a good condition used bike that someone is selling with a very low price; you know those people who aren't so short on money and just want to get ridoff the bike because they are moving somewhere they can't take it with/they already go a new one.
Needlessly to say those bikes are gone withing 2 days after they are put on sale and this is exactly the reason I need to study the subject to be able to spot these "treasures"
I appreciate all your comments and I thank you for the information. If there is anything in your mind you think would be helpful please share!
>pick relatedits the bike I have now. Nothing wrong with it, its good. Just afraid to kick on to more challanging trails and terrains because of the (lack of) suspension-
