Bought a road bike from Costco that comes with the new Sora derailleurs.
However, the cable routing on the FD looks odd.
It does almost a full clockwise loop around the pin on top and the bolt on the bottom.
Is it supposed to be like that? I can't find its manual online. Too new?
Question 2: Seatpost
Thinking of getting a carbon seatpost in hopes that it'd provide more dampening. Should I get one that matches my seat tube size (30.9mm) or get a shim to use with a 27.2mm? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Question 3: Aliexpress
Any tips on finding good quality / good deal listing on there? The system seems a mess. Right now I search for my item and sort them by # of orders, hoping the popular listings are good.
Also, what are some good stuff to buy from there? I've been buying lots of small tools. Going to buy a seatpost as mentioned above.
Question 4: Swapping frames
I'm thinking of swapping everything except the frame, fork, bar, bar tape, cables, and cable housings between my 2008 Giant TCR A1 and my new Costco bike. (The Giant's frame doesn't fit me.) Then I'm going to sell the bike with the Giant frame. The Costco bike comes with a no-name 3 piece crank and square tapered bottom bracket that I don't... like. Otherwise I'd save myself the trouble.
What problems might I encounter? I already know I'll need to buy a ring adapter for the FD because the new frame doesn't have blaze on holes; and I might need to buy new chain for at most 1 bike. What I worry about the most is that the bottom bracket hole may be different size.
