Its gotten icy enough that riding on side streets isn't much fun. Even the MUP has a bunch of ice now. Some freezing mist followed by a little fresh snow glazed up areas that weren't too bad the other day.
The creek of all places ... not icy. Aside from the cleared skating rinks. Encountered a quad with a snow plow down there today. Only a small section of creek near me is safe to ride. I'd have to load the bike up in the car and haul it across the city for the safer upstream ice.
Riding around a park I did a boring loop of this ski area. They prepare it every year, do a shitty job of packing it and no one ever skis on it. The groomer only flattens the snow, and doesn't lay down tracks for classic nordic skiing, so it would only be useful for skate skiing.
