Was going to do a few bmx laps early in my ride but club was doing track maintenance. Was in the area toward the end of the ride so I managed to get in some laps on the way home.
I think the guy gave up compacting as soon as I left. The track was powdery clay, the track would have needed to have been watered first for the clay to bind together. There are numerous water pipes around the track for that purpose.
