dual pivot compared to v brake, dual pivot has much better modulation and lever feel. similar rim clearance. easier to set up and maintain. Look better. similar power. The only thing v brake has going for it is tire clearance, which is why it exists. if some how dual pivots were big enough to fit 2 inch tires and still maintain the same feel, weight etc... it would be better than v, But physics dictates otherwise.
