There are also building requirements that require a home to be a certain size in order to preserve "neighborhood character". So, realistically, the only place you can build Bay & Gable/Victorian homes are in Old Toronto, but with new legislation from the Provincial government to tackle the housing crisis they neglected to add any missing middle homes into the mix, making these homes harder to build. It's a shame, cause they really make a neighborhood look soulful as fuck.
