Or have they not invented buses in your parallel reality yet ? I live 7km away from the closest train station where I pass through during my daily commute, and who would've though, I take a bus to get there. It's significantly cheaper than gas and at 15 minutes, the ride is about the same speed as taking the c*ge. It's still not optimal though, the journey is like a huge V-shape when viewed through a map instead of an A to B line, and I'd rather take a train from my neighbourhood to that station, but hey, I'll make it happen in the future. Somehow.
