What's the deal with bull horns?
Do they ACTUALLY help you get up hills any easier? I get the idea, you grab the horns and lean forward and this puts more of your weight over the front tire, decreasing the weight on the rear tire, and this is supposed to make pedaling up the hill easier, almost like shifting into a lower gear.
However, the more I learn about bicycle myth and lore the more I realize so many things that people take for granted have pretty much zero scientific basis.
Do bullhorns actually make climbing hills easier or is that just a superstition? If you have used bullhorns, subjectively, how much easier is it riding up hills for you? 5% easier? 10% easier? 20% easier?
