Bought this old Dawes for £80, it's Reynolds 531 tubing and ius from 1984, I swear to God it's the most comfortable bike I ever rode, not the fastest but talk about hitting that sweet spot where it's fast enough and comfy enough.
I laughed a bit at the 90s mtb meme, but these old steel bikes are amazing, especially when you see what you get for the money, fuck, I spent 20x this much on bikes before and then spent hundreds more trying to get them this comfy.
WEithout doubt the best £80 I ever spent.
