>>1103736I'm not very knowledgeable on bikes so I'm wondering if someone could help me out here. I'm looking for a bike to ride to uni and around town.
Ideally I would have a nice solid mountain bike that won't destroy my ass when I go down rocky tracks. Lightweight is good but not necessary. Pic related is my old bike which was fine except it was a bit stiff and heavy. The suspension wasn't great either.
I've done some research but I'm a bit lost so I have a few questions.
>What sort of price range would I be looking at and what things aren't strictly necessary?>Are there any good guides for how to interpret bike specs?>Recommended bikes? (I plan to look through reviews until I find one I like but I'm not sure I know enough to know where to start)>Any care mistakes I should avoid?
