>>1534970Eh. Long and slack hardtails are awesome but they're not all rounders.
I have a 2020 specialized enduro and recently bought a long and slack hardtail thinking it would be a fun trail bike and compliment the enduro as that bike is way too big for most trails.
Well I was completely wrong, the HT pedals efficiently but it's just as long ass slack so climbing trails aren't fun like on bikes with steeper geo. The same with the descents, even being a hardtail the length and slack headtube angle make a lot of things boring. Really it's only fun to ride the same trails that would be fun on the enduro, but requiring much better technical riding and line choice making it feel a lot more challenging.
I personally am happy with it as it feels like it's a great way of improving your ability, but it's super fun and poppy like a trail bike.
