>and compliment a city's nature well.No. Golf courses are the opposite of nature in terms of green spaces. Meticulously maintained half inch lawn isn't natural and isn't very biologically diverse. Not that it matters much in an urban environment, I'm just saying. The bigger issue is that access is restricted either by usage payment or even by membership, so they're not an installation to be enjoyed by the general public, unlike parks. Put these things in the middle of nowhere for all I care, but don't expect anyone to provide you with valuable urban space for them.
