Would you oppose flight instruction from a freelance instructor rather than with a flight school? My local puppy mill flight school charges $130/hr in 50 year old 172s on their last leg while a freelance instructor I know will only charge me for fuel and lunch in a new-ish, clean 172 (the freelance instructor is my manager's husband which the reason for it costing next to nothing).
Is it a good idea to take lessons from a freelance instructor? Does it matter where I get my initial hours and training from? Cons vs pros? Thanks
