The entire route is on pavement, with heavy traffic on the last 4 km. I live in the southern part of Brazil, so I get moderate rain from August to November and heavy rains from December to February, although I seldom ride in the actual rain because my commute is on the early morning. The roads tend to be somewhat wet, however.
I'm in good shape so the elevation doesn't affect me anymore, my main worries are traffic and the wet road, for safety reasons.
I'll post a photo of the bike I'm using right now.
