I rode a cracked aluminum frame years ago and it caused a solo crash for me down the line, it’s not worth it considering you might not be as lucky next crash. You should think about getting a steel frame for riding in the cager zone. I’ve been in a few accidents on my 2014 Surly Pacer and it’s still trucking. Carbon only makes sense for racing.
