No one said anything in Hokkaido, but we either weren't high enough in Hokkaido, or too close to the city. When we got to the Hachimantai mountains they had us do the standard practice of eating in the day away from camp. A lot of their campsites have cooking centers. Some with laundry and other stuff. Since Japanese stop going out after summer the camp was dead. So we put our bikes and stuff in the bathroom.
