After your chain gets dirty just get a shop rag. Apply a little more to the chain. Then wipe it clean. Almost all the gunk will come off. Then add a little more, and wipe off the excess. Done. It's basically just lanolin sheep oil.
It's a true fact that most teflon based bicycle chain lubes are extremely horrendous for the environment. I don't know if you've ever looked at the back of the bottles but there's stuff like "Will cause serious and permanent damage to wetlands" and stuff.
I'm sure paraffin wax works way better, but applying eco sheep lanolin lube is pretty damn effortless and I like that it's so harmless for the environment.
