I have a problem with my rear wheel.
A few weeks ago on a commute my bike started being a lot harder to pedal. I arrived at my destination, took a look at the wheels, and noticed that the rear wheel had slipped out of its axis and the tire had come to rub against the left chainstay. So I took out my multitool, loosened the axle nuts, placed the wheel back in its correct position, and tightened the nuts again, which lasted until I came home and noticed that the wheel had moved out of its axis again and almost come into contact with the left chainstay. I repeated the same process.
This has happened on almost every ride with this bike since.
I tried to use different nuts, but it seems the nuts aren't the problem here: whenever I loosen them up, they feel as tight as they originally were. Since the wheel tends to slip to the left, I imagine there is something wrong on the right-hand side of the bike. When I removed the nuts completely, I noticed the lock washers had stripped the matte finish on the frame and actually left "bite marks" where they were pressed into the frame.
What could be causing this? Is there a solution? Is my frame truly fucked?
