99% of bicycles in italy are either size S or M. If you are above 180cm you are fucked. Old hybrid bikes and old MTB are all, inevitably, for people not taller than 175cm. So, perfect for Italians.
Unless they are Italians above 185. In sweden they will never work.
Nowadays city bikes and touring bikes are all made in Taiwan or China. At least they offer sizes L. But there is literally no reason to buy a new bicycle.
