It has 3 stations, one at the top of Montjuic, at the naval fortress, one halfway up Montjuic which connects to another, much older cable car which leads to a tower in the middle of the harbour and the one at the base of Montjuic connects to the Barcelona Funicular which runs to Para-lel and is considered a Barcelona Metro line.
While the cable car offers some neat views, it is also very expensive, and it's really only a tourist attraction, offering the ability for tourists to get up to the top of the "mountain". That said, it is the easiest way to get up the mountain since walking up it is basically hell (I did it once).
