Your argument is.. people should always be aware and not stupid. Yet, they aren't. Obviously. So instead of taking a common sense approach and a relatively inexpensive fix to stop it, you'd rather be hard headed and say.. fuck 'em let them be assholes.
And then watch your tax money go to fixing all the fucked up sidewalks, tracks, buildings, etc.
When a bollard would of prevented it, and is a lot cheaper to fix or replace if they hit it.
Which is why 95% of convenience stores/gas stations have them in front of their stores.
