If it's longer than it is tall then maybe it just doesn't fit you very well.
Many people prefer frames which are taller than they are long.
You could also probably ride a frame which is 1/2 -1 size bigger, for a taller head tube, while keeping adequate standover.
It's not wrong to modify it with swept meme bars but road frames steer better with the grips more or less directly over the front axle. It doesn't mean rush to get a different bike but you can eventually work out exactly what size you really want and keep an eye out for it.
