I've gotten a hold of a frame of Kona Process DL, 2013 vintage. New. I decided to go in the direction of weirdness I didn't yet venture. I want to make it into a sweet dual 6" with drop bars.
But.
Bikes of this kind get smashed on stuff on the regular, and with drops I would be crashing road brifters, which is an $50 ticket each time it happens. What other options do I have? I am kind of thinking about getting regular drop bar levers and thumb shifters ( in friction mode for extra street cred). Good idea/bad idea/other idea? I am open to suggestions.
