>>1754523this, it's like 1960's Ferrari GTO costing more than 20 brand new top of the range Ferrari 's, there was a golden age where form and function came together to elevate a sport to the status of an art form. Because Mountain biking as a popular sport was only just coming into being at the end of the 80s the industry was caught off balance, it was small time craftsmen and visionaries who were out there building and riding the bikes they built, experimenting and perfecting brand new technology, and so some truly spectacular creations came out of that time, maybe not bikes to beat todays fully evolved machines, but things of beauty from a time where craftsmanship and vision mattered more then marketing, before computer aided design and cheapo chink shit.
It was a golden era where master frame builders and garden shed engineers were able to dominate a new sport from the moment of its conception because the sport was their own invention.
Before the big corporations took over and sucked the fucking soul right out.
