>>1213328They're called the XPT (eXpress Passenger Train). They were built by Comeng based on InterCity 125 design. Unfortunately quite slow by international standards and the schedule is terrible. But they're the only non-tourist interstate trains in the country. They're not actually the fastest, the narrow gauge Queensland Rail tilt train is. But they have a great engine sound.
