Before I read the second reply I tried moving it by hand and holding it in place, then tightening the L screw which worked for the first gear. It stayed in place and adjusting the L screw moved the cage. On the second gear however the same method didn’t work. So I tried detaching the cable from the bolt and then adjusting it but that didn’t work either. Now I have another problem with the cable which seems too loose. Shifting is very light because nothing is happening and the movement in the derailleur is minimal. I tried tightening it but the cable just kept slacking at the circled part in pic related. Have I fucked it so much that I should just bring it to a shop?
