I currently ride a cannondale caad2 m400. pretty much ride it as a roadbike/gravel bike. looking to buy a road specific bike and found a 2009 synapse 7 for $250. would it be a significant enough difference in road performance or should I just keep riding the m400 till I can offord something around $800 2nd hand?

this is the m400 im currently riding. its pretty dialed and stuff but the shifting leaves something to be desired if thats the saying.
