>>2000530I'm sorry for being retarded. I did however learn an awful lot. I now know (more or less) what to watch out for when buying a used bike. I also know exactly what bike I want. I'm currently trolling local classifieds for a decent hard tail mountain bike. I've had my fill of being a stupid retard. Smooth ride > upright posture.
I've read that hard tails are the better bike for beglets rather than full suspension which could teach bad riding habits, is more expensive to buy and more complicated to maintain.
If I don't really see anything compelling online I'm thinking either an entry level mountain bike from the store for 700 or so, or go to Costco or Walmart and pick up just whatever adult mountain bike for 400.

P.S. I got rid of the Dutch bike. Traded it for a decent chain lock (brand-new), a bell, and 2 peices of Dutch candy (I'm not joking).
Turns out the bike needed waaay more maintenance than I thought, it also needed like a dozen parts replaced which I didn't want to deal with. I lost a bit of money buying it but I learned a lot (fuck the Neanderthals in the Netherlands).
