And finally, the simple objective fact is that the density of people, businesses and workplaces as found in urban centers makes private vehicle transport impossible, and thus non-cage transport inevitable. There is just literally not enough space for every single person to drag along an oversized 1.5 ton chunk of metal glass and plastic. You could never make enough room, on the road or for parking.
