I can see this station from my living room window. I recall reading somewhere that it's either one of the oldest operating train stations in Australia or the station with the oldest extant station buildings (even though the building hasn't been used in years). It was built in 1856, which is kind of impressive when you consider that the colony was only just 20 years old at the time. From a whole bunch of nothing to a functioning civilization with railways in just two decades, really activates the almonds.
