Did a 100 km today, weather was less windy than it has been recently. I brought an adequate amount of water this time. Still only took 1 bottle of Ensure as a snack. I need to be careful in the city on the road bike, hitting a patch of sand on 25s is sketchy.
The city modified the traffic lights so pedestrians don't have to push the crossing button. Normally there are a bunch of lights that never go green unless the sensor detects a car or the button is pressed. Detection success ratio when on a bike is abysmally low, so the change is somewhat helpful. But when on a main road it means encountering far more reds. And the reds are longer because it has to go through the full pedestrian count down each time instead of a short cycle to let a vehicle through.
