pretty neat! all the road bikes trek put out in that era got the investment lugs on seat tube and almost all had the investment-cast dropouts (but for the low-tier 330 model) but they barely found their way onto their ATB range

...to these dropouts. the planar and geometric look of these are a really nice contrast with the rest of the classic tube frame design. these have got to be my favorite lugs- they're neither flashy nor ornate like the usual ones builders have to differentiate themselves or to 'make a personal statement', but just look really robust and functional and with nothing unnecessary.
