My father actually got his A&P at an Aviation trade school/high school in NY back in the 70's, by the time he graduated he was a certified aircraft mechanic.. he worked on naval vessels on the east coast, but never went into aviation... got married, lost his way I guess

I followed somewhat in his footsteps, started flying at 15, passed my PPL checkride two weeks before I graduated, I'm working on my commercial now
