I rode up a mountain today for the first time. Was disappointingly short despite how relatively slow I was so I went for another lap. 11 miles (with descents) and 1900 ft elevation gain was were I left it today since I came late and I didn’t want to go until actual sunset. Low gearing on this bike compared turned out to be crucial, would have died otherwise on my normal ride.
Honestly first go I felt pretty great and proved to myself I’ve definitely improved and have been underestimating my FTP lately. Second go of course was worse and I felt more like the fat Fred I am.
