>>1584110Help a retard negotiate a better price. Seller is moving soon and ad has been up for week and a half so it shouldn't be too hard. I've always got the price dropped some when buying bikes but I'd like to go from $350 to $250 or lower obviously, $275 max because I have to add $15 bike registration (or risk $100+ ticket).
I know next to nothing about bikes but its been self assembled from Bikes Direct so maybe there's something to look for? Seems like it's in good condition so can't say chain needs to be replaced or stuff like that probably. Might just show up with only $275 cash to ensure i don't overpay. Should I offer $250, which I wouldn't consider a lowball but expect a counter offer. Then when it probably gets to $275 say that's as high as my budget (and girlfriend) allows. And be willing to walk away. And hope she just wants cash before moving. Or venmo.
My market is terrible and I'm sick of refreshing craigslist/marketplace trying to find an entry level road bike that fits for under $500. Fixed/single speed has been ok since I'm just on flat streets and not doing anything serious. Kilo TT is decent quality compared to my options at this price range. Again, I know these are dumb questions thanks
