>>1397041there is a difference but it's hard to say if it's worth going for the top components if you're not competing or if you're not a die hard enthusiast. i'm planning on getting a fabricbike aero which at 579€ i think is a reasonable value proposition as far as aero style aluminium+carbon bikes go (i'm personally not interested in steel frame bikes). you will feel the reduced drag and lower weight and improved ride quality without having to spend thousands. note that the fixed gear scene is pretty small, especially in europe, so purchasing advice from americans won't always make sense to us europeans. aventon mataro and bianchi super pista seem to be primarily sold in USA so they're probably a bit overpriced in europe. in USA the hipsters buy used japanese keirin cranks or something but primarily for the bling factor rather than performance. the cinelli vigorelli shark frameset looks cool and would be a pretty safe bet for some reddit upvotes but it's in a different price class and you'd have to buy nice components and avoid chinese carbon meme wheels etc.
